Inspired by the mechanics of classic Roman siege engines, this wooden model recreates a real working design with four wheels, a sturdy base, a launching arm, and soft foam balls for safe play. Finished with dragon-bone details and aged wood textures, it feels like a siege machine pulled straight from an ancient myth.

The Dragonskull Catapult is a custom wooden 3D model kit designed by WoodTrick. With 104 precision-cut pieces and a START difficulty level (2 out of 5), this DIY project can be completed in about 1–2 hours. It offers the perfect balance of fun and challenge — engaging enough for experienced builders, yet easy to approach for first-time makers, with clear, step-by-step instructions to guide you throughout the process.

Part of our Mechanisms Series, the Dragonskull Catapult features an interactive design that launches special soft polyurethane balls (8 included in the set). To make a shot, pull the spoon down until it clicks, place a ball inside, then switch the control lever to the “forward” position — located on the rear axle near the back wheels. The themed design elements, including a dragon skull detail and aged wood finish, give the model a strong fantasy character and an immersive, adventurous feel.
